Goldman Sachs Rolls Out AI Assistant Across Company, Memo Reveals

Goldman Sachs Launches AI Assistant to Boost Employee Productivity

Goldman Sachs announced on Monday the official launch of its company-wide artificial intelligence assistant, a generative AI-powered tool designed to enhance productivity. This announcement was shared in an internal memo reviewed by Reuters.

According to the memo from Chief Information Officer Marco Argenti, about 10,000 employees at Goldman Sachs are already using the new GS AI Assistant. With this broader rollout, the bank joins other major financial institutions that are actively adopting AI technology to streamline operations and support daily employee tasks.

Citigroup, for example, uses tools like Citi Assist to search internal policies and procedures, and Citi Stylus to summarize and compare documents. Morgan Stanley has a chatbot that supports financial advisors in client interactions, while Bank of America offers Erica, a virtual assistant that helps retail clients manage their daily banking transactions.

At Goldman Sachs, the AI assistant is designed to assist with tasks such as summarizing complex documents, drafting content, and performing data analysis, according to the internal communication.
