IT giant Ingram Micro is currently facing a global outage affecting its websites and internal systems, raising concerns among customers about a possible cyberattack, especially as the company has yet to explain the cause of the disruption.

The outage began on Thursday morning, taking the company’s website offline and preventing customers from placing orders. Researchers reported that internal systems have also become inaccessible to some employees.
Currently, attempts to visit IngramMicro.com either result in a generic access-restricted page from Akamai, the networking service used by Ingram Micro, or a standard maintenance notice.
Customers on Reddit expressed frustration over the company’s silence, with employees reportedly not given any updates either. While some unconfirmed reports suggest a ransomware attack may be involved, it has not been confirmed.
Still, the ongoing disruption and internal system shutdowns are consistent with incidents involving security breaches.
