Pharmaceutical company Inotiv reported to the US SEC that a ransomware attack on August 8 disrupted its business operations. Hackers encrypted parts of its internal systems, forcing the company to initiate containment and recovery efforts.
The breach affected access to internal networks, data storage, and business applications. To stay operational, Inotiv shifted some processes offline. The company is working to restore systems, though a full recovery timeline remains uncertain.
While Inotiv hasn’t officially named the attackers, the Qilin ransomware group claimed responsibility on August 11, posting the company on its leak site. Qilin alleges it stole 176GB of sensitive data, including contracts, financial records, and internal documents.
