Microsoft is currently investigating a OneDrive issue that is preventing some users from seeing search results, even when looking for files they know are stored in their account.
According to an updated support document, the problem affects users on Windows, Android, iOS, and the web version of OneDrive. The company explained that while the files are still accessible, they are not appearing in search results.
"Some users with personal OneDrive accounts may notice that search results are either blank or missing files that are known to be there," Microsoft stated. "We are actively working to determine the root cause. This appears to be impacting a limited number of users, and we are collaborating with support teams to assess the full extent of the issue."
Microsoft confirmed that the issue spans multiple OneDrive platforms and that there is currently no workaround or estimated time for resolution. The company acknowledged the inconvenience and assured users that resolving the issue is a top priority.
In addition, Microsoft is addressing another bug affecting iOS users. This problem causes slo-mo videos uploaded to OneDrive to play back at regular speed. The company recommends that users experiencing this issue share the video directly from their iOS gallery to OneDrive, rather than uploading it manually or using the automatic Camera Roll backup.
Earlier this year, Microsoft also resolved a separate problem where OneDrive caused macOS apps to freeze when opening or saving files. That issue, reported in November, only affected devices running macOS 15 Sequoia.
