Windows 11 Unveils Powerful New AI Features — Here’s What’s New

Microsoft has introduced a range of AI-driven updates for Windows 11, aiming to transform how users interact with their devices. With more people using generative AI for both work and personal tasks, Windows 11 is positioning itself as the go-to platform for AI, especially on Copilot+ PCs that feature advanced neural processing.

A key addition is the new intelligent agent built into the Settings app, exclusive to Copilot+ PCs. This feature lets users type natural language commands like “enable quiet hours” or “change my resolution to 1920×1080,” and the system will instantly apply those settings. Users can make adjustments across display, connectivity, and accessibility options with one click and easily undo changes if needed.

Windows 11 also shortens the time it takes to restart after unexpected shutdowns from 40 seconds to just 2 seconds in many cases. It now includes quick recovery using the Windows Recovery Environment to fix common issues and minimize downtime.

The Snipping Tool gets smarter with perfect screenshot capabilities that adjust selections based on content and a new color picker that identifies exact shades using HEX, RGB, and HSL values through simple keyboard shortcuts.

Creative tools are getting a boost as well. Click to Do now supports features like Reading Coach, Immersive Reader, and Copilot in Word, all accessible through shortcuts or gestures on compatible devices.

The Photos app adds Relight, a tool that gives users fine control over lighting in their pictures, with options for adjusting intensity and temperature or choosing presets like “Studio Portrait.”

Paint is upgraded with an AI sticker generator and object selection tool, making it easy to create custom stickers and isolate elements with precision. These features use cloud-based AI and require a Microsoft account and internet connection.

Copilot Vision, available in the U.S., offers real-time screen analysis and guidance across different apps, helping users complete tasks with ease. These updates reflect Microsoft’s focus on building smarter, more adaptive tools while ensuring high performance and strong security.
