Ice Maker Breach Allegedly Exposes Employee Data

Ice Maker Breach Allegedly Exposes Employee Data

Arctic Glacier, a leading ice products and services provider in North America, has appeared on the dark web blog of the Qilin ransomware group, where cybercriminals showcase their latest targets.

The attackers claim to have accessed sensitive company files, employee records, and other confidential documents. Arctic Glacier, which supplies crushed and packaged ice to major clients including 7-Eleven, operates over 100 distribution hubs and serves more than 75,000 customers across the US and Canada.

Hackers shared screenshots of the stolen data, including passports, driver’s licenses, employee compensation details, and various legal and financial records. Such information could be used for identity theft, fake account creation, or to launch phishing attacks by impersonating staff or clients. Legal records may also reveal business interests that can be further exploited.

Arctic Glacier employs over 1,000 people and reported nearly $300 million in revenue last year. The Qilin gang, active since 2022, has escalated its operations in 2025, targeting dozens of organizations in recent months. Other reported victims include Asefa, 550 Madison Avenue, and SK Group. Arctic Glacier has yet to release a statement.
