Louis Vuitton Korea Breach Exposes Customer Data

A system breach at Louis Vuitton's South Korea branch in June resulted in the exposure of some customer information, including contact details, but did not compromise any financial data, the company confirmed on Friday.

In a statement, the South Korean unit said, “We regret to inform that an unauthorized third party temporarily accessed our system, leading to the leak of certain customer information.” The company discovered the breach on Wednesday and has since informed relevant government authorities.

The statement also noted that steps have been taken to contain the incident and strengthen system security.
According to South Korea's Personal Information Protection Commission, two other South Korean branches under the LVMH group Christian Dior Couture and Tiffany have been under investigation since May following earlier reports of customer data leaks.
