Pillar Security Secures $9M to Safeguard Enterprise AI Systems
Pillar Security, an Israeli-founded startup focused on securing enterprise AI environments, has raised $9 million in seed funding led by Shield Capital. Additional backing came from Golden Ventures and Ground Up Ventures, both taking equity stakes in the company.
Launched in October by Dor Sarig and Ziv Karliner, Pillar aims to close critical security gaps in AI software. The company is betting on growing enterprise demand for specialized tools to secure AI applications, particularly as traditional DevSecOps solutions fall short in addressing AI-related risks.
Pillar’s platform is designed to secure the entire AI development lifecycle. It integrates with existing codebases and data infrastructures while mapping AI models, datasets, and frameworks. The software enables real-time monitoring of AI models and infrastructure, deploying custom security guardrails based on application risk profiles.
Its approach tackles emerging threats such as evasion attacks, data poisoning, and intellectual property leaks.
With the new funding, Pillar plans to ramp up its R&D efforts and expand its market reach.
