Through this partnership, Blue Turtle Technologies will establish multiple racks, offering its clients access to high-quality colocation and private cloud services. The initiative also aims to accelerate cloud adoption, digital transformation, and data-driven operations for South African enterprises in a reliable and compliant environment.
“This partnership enables us to offer customers trusted colocation and private cloud solutions in two of South Africa’s most strategic data centre locations. As enterprise clients increasingly look for secure, scalable, and cost-efficient alternatives to on-premises infrastructure, we anticipate strong market uptake, reflected in the accelerated ramp-up timeline we’ve committed to,” said Jan Hitge, Business Development Manager for Managed Services at Blue Turtle Technologies.
By delivering high-availability colocation with regulatory compliance, low-latency connectivity, and disaster recovery capabilities, the partnership aims to help enterprises modernise their IT operations, strengthen cybersecurity, and meet local data sovereignty requirements under regulations like the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
“This agreement is about more than just filling racks. It’s about driving digital transformation across the economy. Blue Turtle has a solid customer base and the capacity to scale quickly, making them the right partner for our mission to provide secure, resilient, and sustainable digital infrastructure in South Africa. As demand for dependable infrastructure grows, we see this partnership supporting broader initiatives, including cloud expansion, edge computing, and AI-ready deployments,” said Adil El Youssefi, CEO of Africa Data Centres.
With partners like Blue Turtle, Africa Data Centres continues to grow its influence across the continent. This alliance supports the next wave of enterprise innovation and helps reinforce South Africa’s position as a top-tier technology hub.
