German automaker BMW has announced plans to incorporate artificial intelligence from the Chinese startup DeepSeek into its new models in China, with the integration set to begin later this year.
CEO Oliver Zipse shared this exciting development at the Shanghai auto show on Wednesday, emphasizing the importance of AI advancements in China.
“Significant breakthroughs in AI are currently happening here in China, and we are strengthening our partnerships in this area to bring these innovations to our vehicles,” Zipse stated. “Starting later this year, we will begin integrating DeepSeek's cutting-edge AI technology into our new vehicle models in China.”
This move shows BMW’s dedication to using AI technology and taking advantage of China’s growing tech industry, which is leading in AI development. The integration of DeepSeek's AI will enhance the driving experience by bringing more intelligent, efficient, and user-friendly features to BMW’s lineup in the region.
